SlayFit ("we", "our", or "us") is an AI-powered personal styling app that helps you manage your wardrobe, discover new looks, and get outfit feedback. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.
By using SlayFit, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account information — When you register, we collect your name, email address, and optionally a phone number via Firebase Authentication.
Photos and wardrobe images — You voluntarily upload photos of yourself and your clothing items. These are used solely to power AI outfit analysis and wardrobe management features.
Style preferences and profile data — Age range, body type, and style preferences you provide during onboarding to personalise recommendations.
Usage data — Information about how you interact with the app (features used, session length, in-app actions) to improve the service.
Device and log data — IP address, device type, operating system, and app version for diagnostics and security purposes.
Payment data — Subscription purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are processed entirely by Apple or Google. Web purchases are handled by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card details.
3. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you logged in and remember your preferences (such as your theme or language settings). We do not use tracking cookies for cross-site advertising.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect your ability to sign in to SlayFit.
5. Your Photos & AI Processing
Photos you upload are sent to Google's Gemini API for AI analysis (outfit critique, garment recognition, style suggestions). Per Google's API usage policies, your images are not used to train Google's AI models.
Your photos are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256), stored on secure cloud infrastructure, and are never sold or shared with advertisers or other third parties.

7. Data Retention & Account Deletion
We retain your account data and photos for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. When you delete your account, your profile and all uploaded photos are permanently and immediately deleted.
Payment transaction records may be retained longer where required by applicable law or accounting obligations.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable privacy laws, including:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability (receive a copy of your data)

9. Children's Privacy
SlayFit is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, and strict access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of SlayFit after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
